Our wedding took place in Finnstown Country House Lucan – bride Alison Mc Guire, Groom Alan Gaffney. I thought the star DJ service was excellent – John showed up well before his time & promptly set up. The music he played had the floor full all nite – even if he did play a few tunes we asked him not to but for the kids!! I would fully recommend this service to others!

On the night the music was fantastic. We started with an 8 piece band and the transition to Garvan’s set was seamless, and the music he included complimented the band perfectly. Full dance floor all night! In the run up to the night Garvan had great advice for us and it was probably the apsect of the day that we worried about least. By agreement, Garvan made sure we got involved in as little (if any) of the minutae as possible and as the day drew closer, it was a pleasant change to not be asked to make yet another last-minute decision on something. Great service, professionally delivered, and we wish you lots of continued success

Colin was DJ for my wedding and I am delighted to report that the dance floor was full all night. He stuck close to my play list and read the night very well! We were delighted with the DJ Richard on the night of our wedding – he arrived the night before to set up his sound equipment, liaised with the band as the DJ was playing the first dance and then handing over to the band, and played all the songs we had discussed with him before the event. One of our guests brought down a particular song on a CD on the night and the DJ played it to. We have recommended Star DJs to some of our friends who are getting married.

Our D.J. the night of the wedding was superb. Set up in no time and the transition from our wedding band to our D.J. was seamless. Music choice was great too and we had an incredible night. DJ guy was amazing. A really decent bloke and total professional, he went above and beyond the call of duty and had every person in the place up dancing (which he lead himself). By the time he finished, the whole room was out of their seats (parents included) and the party went on into the early hours of the morning, at which point our Polish barman, with a dazed look on his face said it was ‘absolutely best party he ever saw in this room’! Seriously though, we had an amazing weekend and want to thank you guys for a brilliant job excellently done.

Mark was our DJ and he played an absolute blinder. His judgement of the crowd was spot on, and he pitched the music accordingly. In the run up to the event, he was contactable and responsive, and he made a real effort to accommodate us, particularly in relation to certain song choices which meant a lot to us. All in all, a stellar performance

Myself and my husband Alexander would like to say a very Big Thank you to one of your DJs, who played at our wedding. His name is Garvan Rigby. He did a fantastic job on the day, was very flexible at accommodating all the sudden changes, was very attentive and well organised. He has such a lovely personality and is definitely enjoying his work. He gave us a lot of useful advice before our big day and all the guests really enjoyed the evening.

Very very impressed with the service. The D.J was very helpful in the run up to the event. On the night itself, he made a big difference by getting everyone onto the dance floor and keeping them there for the night, through good interaction with the crowd and great music. Can honestly say the night wouldn’t have been half the craic without the DJ that we had.

We got married at the waterside in Donabate,we chose to go for a dj only as we had dancers and fireworks for later on in the evening. Colin was our dj and he was only brilliant, we met him at the wedding fair the year of our wedding and discussed our plans, we asked for him to dj our wedding as we were really impressed, he knew his stuff, also as a young couple we found he knew what we wanted before we asked. Before the wedding he rang once or twice and confirmed everything and was very reassuring.on the night he looked smart, was punctual, and just got on with things i never needed to remind him of a thing all night,a lot of friends commented on how good he was and asked for details for their own weddings. It was very late when we contacted you originally but everything was arranged perfectly. I was really pleased with how the music worked out and the feedback from the guests was really good. As you will have seen from my feedback I was happy – but I wanted to make a point about Mal. Mal was a great DJ. It was great to meet him before hand to discuss the few little different things that I was interested in doing at the wedding. We had a few phone conversations to confirm and agree the first dance which required extra input on Mals behalf.
He was a crowd pleaser and varied the music as he saw fit to keep them dancing. They were happy and so were we! The volume was perfect people could chat – and the lights and equipment really gave the room a different feel for the evening dancing. Thanks for everything. Darragh was our wedding DJ. We have nothing but praise for him. Darragh met us at our home about 1 month before the wedding and we went through what music we like. We didn’t want conventional ‘wedding’ music. We felt very confident after this meeting that Darragh understood what we wanted. Our dance floor was hopping for the night and our guests have commented on the music. I have recommended him to other brides on weddingsonline.ie (which is where he was recommended to me by another bride).We couldn’t have asked for better.

well i can safely say you made my night! it may not have been the most traditional wedding in terms of music, however it was the music i wanted and the music i danced to when i first met stuart, we grew up with that music and it really took us back. i loved every minute of it, even people who wouldnt like dance music where up on the floor. you really really made the night, everyone has said it was the best wedding they have ever been at and that i was such a happy bride the whole night up on the dance floor.

I am delighted to send this email to say that Garvan was a fantastic dj at our wedding.
I met with him in advance and we discussed what we needed on the night. Garvan gave us great advice and was very professional and knowledgeable.
It did take the crowd a while to warm up which is probably true of all weddings esp after a 4 course meal. It certainly had nothing to do with the music. But if a song wasn’t working Garvan changed it and got everyone up. Everyone commented on the entertainment saying it was a great night with a great mix of music to suit all guests and I agree completely. We were delighted that we decided to go with Star DJ’s and I will recommend them to friends and family for their events. I barely had time to drink on the night of my wedding as I was on the dance floor so much and that’s exactly the way I wanted it.

We got married this year and were delighted with the service and performance of our DJ, Malcolm. He was uber professional, and patient as he had to wait a for the band who had decided to play on for an extra hour or so. However, the thing that I would like to comment on the most was the fact that he had the dance floor filled for the entire time he played, making the evening truly memorable. All the comments we’ve had subsequently have been nothing but very positive.
Key to his excellence was taking the time to speak to me a few days prior in order to get a feel for the music we wanted and when. To be honest, our band were amazing and I was a little concerned that our DJ would not be able to lift our guests after the band had finished. I need not have worried, as Malcolm was superb. I would be very quick to recommend Malcolm again if anyone was looking for a DJ for their wedding.

Fergal Rigby dj’d our wedding on 25 September last. We only arrived back from honeymoon last Friday and you guys were on my list of thank you’s but I just hadn’t gotten around to it until I saw your mail.
Both Padraic and I were absolutely delighted with Fergal – I danced almost the entire night and at one point thought to myself I should really be talking to more of our guests but the music was so good that every time I’d sit down to talk I was back up again because I’d hear some really good music! So many people asked us where we had sourced the dj from and commented on how good the music was. I suppose it’s one of those things you fear coming up to a wedding that you’ll have an empty dancefloor – well my fears were completely unfounded; I just feared at times for Fergal’s equipment such was the exuberance on the dancefloor!
The standard of service from Star DJ’s was also excellent right from our very initial contact. When I was researching dj options I dropped you an email and you gave me a call to discuss our options further. At the time I wasn’t sure whether you were just a very good salesman but I have to say both you and Fergal really delivered on what you promised. The music was completely tailored to the style of our wedding and to the age groups there which is why it worked so well I think. It was great that Fergal called in to us a few weeks before the wedding – so much better than discussing over the phone – and true to his word he gave me a quick call a few days before the wedding just to check in. This is exactly the kind of service you need in the run up to a wedding.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Star DJ’s and Fergal highly enough. I wish you every success and will definitely refer you to anyone I know searching for a dj.

Darragh DJ’d at our wedding at cloghan castle and we cant speak highly enough of him. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end – if anything we needed a bigger dancfloor as it wall packed to the brim! Everyone commented on how great a night it was and the music was a huge part of that – the songs we requested for friends were all played so everyone was happy, and it was a huge relief to take a look at the dancefloor and see that everyone was having a ball. The music played throughout the meal was equally enjoyable and set a really nice ambiance, and Darragh was a great MC too – took great control over our boistrous crowd and made sure they gave us a rapturous applause for our entrance, the speeches and the first dance.

We were really pleased with the overall experience. Al was our DJ. He phoned a few weeks before the wedding and asked that we put together a list of our ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’. Al played a lot of the songs on our ‘like’ list, whilst also taking requests from the guests and playing some floor fillers (which he also asked if we were ok with him doing). So many people commented on how good Al was and we found him lovely to deal with. The StarDJ service was first class right from my initial email contact, through to meeting with Garv to plan the playlist. The straight forward, no nonsense approach was appreciated especially as we were planning an Irish wedding based in the UK.
I’d like to think we had suggested some decent tunes but the way that Garv put them together ensured that the dance floor was rammed all night. Comments like ” the music was just BRILL-I-ANT” and ” I just danced the legs off me” from our guests tells us that everyone had a fantastic night.
We would not hesitate to recommend. In fact we already have!

being a mature couple we had preconcieved ideas about what music we wanted to hear and we were also a bit worried about using a dj as opposed to a live band. the live being way out of our budget we had to use the dj. having heard star djs at a wedding a few year earlier we were happy enough though still nervous as to how it would be received. we need not have worried, our choice of music was played throughout the evening and to our amazement the danceflor was never unoccupied. the comments we got from family and friends about the music thrilled us. so all we can say is, we are delighted we didnt use a live band. our thanks to all at star djs.

We booked Star DJs for our wedding. Colin was the DJ assigned to our reception. In advance of the wedding, he discussed what we were hoping to get from the music on the night. Colin’s input was very helpful and allowed us focus on the songs which were important to us and important to some of our guests. On the night Colin said hello and then dealt directly with the hotel’s banqueting manager on setting up his equipment etc. This was great as we were busy with other aspects of the day. Colin was great and announced our entry to the reception and the speeches etc.
The background music during the meal was perfect and in line with our tastes. The after dinner music was even better and Colin catered for everyone’s tastes and took requests from guests which made it much easier to get people up on the dance floor. If I had to rate the DJ experience I’d give it 10/10 and I’d like to thank Colin for helping make it a great night.

Communication in the run up to the event was great, with fast response.
Owen on the night was fantastic. Set up seamlessly, we barely noticed him sneaking in! Music was second to none and Owen himself was extremely courteous and polite.
Will definitely use you again and recommend you to others!

We told him to just do whatever he thought on the day and that we were happy with his judgements.He arranged the arrivals music at the Stephens Green Hibernian Club and he did the lovely background music for the dinner and then he played for the whole night. One piece of advice he gave us was this: He told us that on our wedding day wherever we (me and Declan) were the crowd would follow us. So he said if you want people to dance then we should dance. Well we took this advice on board 100% and the dance floor was full all night long. Everybody danced, the younger crowd and the older crowd. I have all the videos and pictures to prove this. It was so much fun. All of our friends told us after how much they enjoyed the wedding and that the DJ was BRILLIANT!!!

Sorry for the delayed response on this. We were extremely satisfied with our experience with Star DJs. The booking process was pain free, and all our questions were answered really quickly. Being based outside Ireland, it was extremely useful to have an email based booking, and as mentioned, every email was replied to very swiftly.
Our DJ Tim rang in the run up to the wedding to confirm details including the song choices we had sent, and to get a feel for the type of music we did and didn’t want. On the day itself, Tim was fantastic. He played our requested songs, listened to the guests and took requests, and even stayed on later than scheduled, when the band had overran and he couldn’t start on time. He had everyone out on the dance floor the whole time, which was exactly what we wanted.
As a side note, when he initially arrived, I was on my way to complain about the heat in the venue for the 3rd time. Instead Tim went to speak to the venue team, and within minutes the air conditioning had been turned up. I can’t tell you how grateful I was for that!

We had a ball dancing all night at our wedding and would have no hesitation recommending Star DJs in the future.

The dance floor was full all night long. I have all the videos and pictures to prove this. All of our friends told us after how much they enjoyed the wedding and that the DJ was BRILLIANT!!!

Garvan was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and with 20 years experience under his belt, and certainly knows his trade. He is also extremely obliging, and professional, and pricing is also excellent. We had Malcolm as our DJ on the night, and he was absolutely brilliant, the crowd loved him, as did we! We also got a chance to meet him beforehand, which was also a nice touch. We gave him an idea of some of the music that we were keen on, and he delivered, with bells on. Malcolm just gets on with it, and before you know, he is set up, and getting the crowd going! Star DJ’s are up for nomination for Wedding DJ of the Year, and without hesitation you will get my vote, and I hope you win, if you do, it will certainly be well-deserved.

I have to say your service is excellent. Mark kept in touch regularly running up to our wedding and listened to everything we said. He even got a song I wanted for the father daughter dance.

A massive thank you to Star DJs and Garvan Rigby for turning our wedding reception to an amazing party. The dance floor was full, there were people dancing on the carpet as we run out of space! He had lots or tips for us before the wedding, great ideas for play-lists etc., and the evening was amazing. We had a mix of people from all over Europe & US, all ages and music tastes, but literally everyone (120 ppl!)was jumping and having a blast (even my granny of 83!). From the start Garvan was more than helpful. We met up and went through everything we wanted. He also gave us some great tips! He kept in touch right up until the day. Guests are still talking about the music and a few have even asked for his details as they have functions coming up.

Can’t reccomend Star DJ’s enough! Extremely professional service. At first we were a bit hesitent about getting an all day DJ instead of a band but we made the right decision in the end with getting Star Dj’s. DJ Mark had everyone up dancing from start right through to 2am. He was great at judging what type of music to play a certain times. We recently used the Star DJs Platinum Package for our wedding. Garvan and the team didn’t disappoint. From start to finish from when we originally made contact they were super, so much help and gave us guidance for both day and the music choices. The day itself was amazing and the dance floor was full from start (9 pm) to finish (2 am). In fact a number of the venue staff commented they had never seen so many people dance all the time at a wedding, and I would put it down to the DJ (Garvan) and his ability to read the crowd and quickly change any song that wasn’t catching the attention of crowd. The background music for the dinner was also excellent and a number of guests commented on how nice it was. We are still getting messages from guests their feet are sore from all the dancing. For me part of what I envisaged to make the wedding excellent was a full dance floor, and Star DJs (Garvan) made that possible. We would have absolutely no hesitation rating the service as 5 star plus and if we were doing it all over again wouldn’t change a thing about the choice of DJs of the fact we decided to not get a band. Thank you Garvan you really made our day spectacular!

They always tell you that the DJ you choose can either make or break your reception. I did not really believe this, but I took the advice of my friends and did my research. I hired Star DJ’s because of the great reviews and the reputation. I knew Star DJs would not let us down. First of all, everything to do with the hiring and arranging of our booking was smooth and reassuring. We heard about Star DJs from a friend. It’s often said that word of mouth recommendations are the best recommendations, and this is definitely the case. We’ll certainly be recommending star DJs to all of our friends and family who are yet to get married. Mark went out of his way to keep both of us happy. The feedback we received from our guests was fantastic. Most people complained about having sore legs, but only because they could not stop dancing. One of our guests said that he danced more at our wedding than he did at his own! The music was simply fantastic. We were delighted with the service Star DJs provided and have absolutely no qualms about recommending them to anyone.

I got in touch with Star Dj’s through Weddingsonline. I would highly recommend them to any of our friends or family for events or weddings. Mark was our DJ on the night and he was absolutely fantastic. We had guests from all over Europe – Italy, Spain, Romania etc. I asked Mark on the lead up to the wedding if it would be possible to play a mix of Latin and Romanian music and also music to keep the older members on the dance floor. He said it was no problem at all..and it wasn’t! The dance floor was never empty and by the end of the night most people had their shoes off so they could keep dancing!! The feedback from the guests was amazing. They assumed we had given Mark a list of songs we wanted him to play throughout the night but we didn’t. The only song we asked him to play was our first dance song. He gauged the type of music that got people out of their seats and onto the dance floor. Garvan looked after our wedding in Barberstown Castle. Nothing was ever an issue and the communication was always prompt and professional.

He met my wife and I about 4 weeks before the wedding and really worked to understand not just our taste in music that we wanted to hear but also understand what our guests might want (we had friends and family from Ireland, America and Mexico).

He took all our views on board and made some great suggestions on how we could improve the day. We had no band so had Garvan from approx 5pm until 1am and he was really was our entertainment director for the day. He worked with the hotel staff before and during the day and we didn’t have anything to worry about.

We really couldn’t have asked for more from him and it was clear that he really wanted us to have the best day possible. We couldn’t recommend StarDJs enough and nothing was ever an issue for him. Thanks Garvan!

DJ Garvan was fantastic at our wedding on 10th March last. As requested he kept those 80’s tracks coming. The dance floor was buzzing all night. He was very professional at all times, and was only too happy to meet us in advance of the wedding to go through any must have (and not have) songs. Highly recommended. Brilliant night.

DJ Mark did a fabulous job. As we weren’t fussy about what we wanted played, we left him pick the songs. Excellent selection of music. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend to future bride and grooms.

A great service from start to finish, which included a lengthy consultation to make sure we were getting everything we wanted. Garvan played an 8 hour set including through the wedding meal – which was a talking point amongst guests. Read the crowd well and if a song wasn’t working he bought it right back so everyone was on the dancefloor. Well worth every cent!

I was recommended by a friend to check the Star DJs website. We reached out to Star DJs to formally book Garvan. He was so responsive anytime we contacted him and even he called me to check in a few times. Our face-to-face meeting was also great. He asked the right questions to understand our style and our guests as well. He made great points and gave great recommendations. On the night, everyone (literally everyone) was on the dance floor. Even today (wedding was 3 weeks ago) when we ask people to send videos/pics, they say they were having so much fun on the dance floor that they didn’t even use their phones (how unusually great is that).
