We had Philip as our DJ for a primary school function. He was fantastic. He set up outside as the weather was good . The music choice was brilliant for the age groups involved, and the children and parents had a fabulous evening. We would definitely book with Star DJ's again.

Cannot recommend Star DJs enough. We have used them for consecutive years for Corporate Pride events and they were so easy to work with and were able to adapt to weather conditions and last minute requests with no hassle.

Brilliant wedding DJ service, and very prompt and professional to work with. Prior to the wedding, we spoke with Mark and he asked several questions to get a better understanding of the guests and our musical interests. For the evening dancing, the music was perfect and the dance floor never empty from 8.30pm through to 1.30am. All the guests commented on how great the music was!
We live in London however my husband is Irish and we decided to get married in Lutterallstown Castle in Dublin. As a music and party lover it was super important for me to have a DJ who understand my preferred music genre and is able to also do what he or she do best! My initial contact was with Garvan who was very professional and efficient. Based on my requirements, I was suggested DJ Steve Reddy. Steve was absolutely brilliant and did a fantastic job! He was calm, organised and understood all of the requirements. It was truly a pleasure to work with him. Bearing in mind my music choice was not the traditional wedding party music, it was more of house, dance/ club vibe…Steve was a perfect DJ for it!
I had such a positive experience with Star DJ's! Myself and my now wife had Jack for Star DJ's DJ our wedding reception and he was spot on! He arrived on time, made no fuss at all when setting up and he had the floor hopping all night! From our very first call with Garvan we got a great vibe, Garvan listened to us and asked loads of questions. We had a follow up call with Jack a few weeks before the wedding and he put our minds at ease! He made sure that any requests or special songs we wanted were included! On the night he read the room, keeping the music flowing and our crowd on their feet! We couldn't have asked for more or for better!
We recently had the pleasure of having star djs host a work quiz at Roddy Bolands, with over 100 attendees. The event was nothing short of excellent. Garvin was extremely professional and took care of all the setup, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The night was filled with fun, and the quiz format worked perfectly. From the very start when i was looking at DJs i found Star DJs so nice to deal with and very helpful. We went with a DJ for the full day in the Waterside Hotel Donabate and i have to say im so glad i did. Darragh was fantastic and everyone said how good he was. He was so helpful in the months and weeks before the wedding and even days before. He played all the songs i put on my list and i have to say the dance floor was full all night long. Fergal Rigby dj’d our wedding on 25 September last. We only arrived back from honeymoon last Friday and you guys were on my list of thank you’s but I just hadn’t gotten around to it until I saw your mail.
Both Padraic and I were absolutely delighted with Fergal – I danced almost the entire night and at one point thought to myself I should really be talking to more of our guests but the music was so good that every time I’d sit down to talk I was back up again because I’d hear some really good music! So many people asked us where we had sourced the dj from and commented on how good the music was. I suppose it’s one of those things you fear coming up to a wedding that you’ll have an empty dancefloor – well my fears were completely unfounded; I just feared at times for Fergal’s equipment such was the exuberance on the dancefloor!
The standard of service from Star DJ’s was also excellent right from our very initial contact. When I was researching dj options I dropped you an email and you gave me a call to discuss our options further. At the time I wasn’t sure whether you were just a very good salesman but I have to say both you and Fergal really delivered on what you promised. The music was completely tailored to the style of our wedding and to the age groups there which is why it worked so well I think. It was great that Fergal called in to us a few weeks before the wedding – so much better than discussing over the phone – and true to his word he gave me a quick call a few days before the wedding just to check in. This is exactly the kind of service you need in the run up to a wedding.
I honestly couldn’t recommend Star DJ’s and Fergal highly enough. I wish you every success and will definitely refer you to anyone I know searching for a dj.

We recently used the Star DJs Platinum Package for our wedding. Garvan and the team didn’t disappoint. From start to finish from when we originally made contact they were super, so much help and gave us guidance for both day and the music choices. The day itself was amazing and the dance floor was full from start (9 pm) to finish (2 am). In fact a number of the venue staff commented they had never seen so many people dance all the time at a wedding, and I would put it down to the DJ (Garvan) and his ability to read the crowd and quickly change any song that wasn’t catching the attention of crowd. The background music for the dinner was also excellent and a number of guests commented on how nice it was. We are still getting messages from guests their feet are sore from all the dancing. For me part of what I envisaged to make the wedding excellent was a full dance floor, and Star DJs (Garvan) made that possible. We would have absolutely no hesitation rating the service as 5 star plus and if we were doing it all over again wouldn’t change a thing about the choice of DJs of the fact we decided to not get a band. Thank you Garvan you really made our day spectacular!

We had a fantastic time, our guests loved the music, you totally went by our play list and embellished it with a few crowd pleasers. Overall a great service and every single dancing guests loved it!! pity I as the bride had to disappear a few times to mind my lovely child (hey I’m a mamma) but despite it being so, I had a few groovy moments on the dance floor thanks to you and could not have hoped for anything better. Will happily recommend you over and over again.

Colin’s input was very helpful and allowed us focus on the songs which were important to us and important to some of our guests. On the night Colin said hello and then dealt directly with the hotel’s banqueting manager on setting up his equipment etc. This was great as we were busy with other aspects of the day. Colin was great and announced our entry to the reception and the speeches etc.
The background music during the meal was perfect and in line with our tastes. Our D.J. the night of the wedding was superb. Set up in no time and the transition from our wedding band to our D.J. was seamless. Music choice was great too and we had an incredible night. DJ guy was amazing. A really decent bloke and total professional, he went above and beyond the call of duty and had every person in the place up dancing (which he lead himself). By the time he finished, the whole room was out of their seats (parents included) and the party went on into the early hours of the morning, at which point our Polish barman, with a dazed look on his face said it was ‘absolutely best party he ever saw in this room’! Seriously though, we had an amazing weekend and want to thank you guys for a brilliant job excellently done.

I hired Star DJ’s because of the great reviews and the reputation. I knew Star DJs would not let us down. I still wasn’t sure what I was getting until we had our first phone conversation with Garvan, our DJ that would be doing our wedding. He was very attentive. He gave us such great suggestions. The night of the wedding was perfect. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I can’t tell you how amazing this company is! Mal was a great DJ. It was great to meet him before hand to discuss the few little different things that I was interested in doing at the wedding. We had a few phone conversations to confirm and agree the first dance which required extra input on Mals behalf.
He was a crowd pleaser and varied the music as he saw fit to keep them dancing. They were happy and so were we! The volume was perfect people could chat – and the lights and equipment really gave the room a different feel for the evening dancing. Thanks for everything. I was very pleased with the service received from StarDJ’s. The disco was being run for the 6th class students of the school as their last event together. They had their graduation night in the school and this event was organised and run by the parents on the evening of their last day at the school. The school is mixed and does not have a feeder school attached to it, so the children are splitting up and going in different directions, hence it is a sentimental and quite emotional day for them. I asked the DJ to acknowledge this at the end of the night but that we didn’t want any emotional “This will be our last song together” type of songs.
The attendees are at that awkward age, not kids but not adults, so we wanted the music and mood accurately pitched to suit their taste and age.
Our DJ was Owen. He was great. Everything he did was age appropriate and he obviously pitched the style of music well as the kids appeared to love it and the parents (helpers) enjoyed it too!! He did two party games with them which they enjoyed. Overall the disco was a success and the kids had a great time. Many parents commented that the DJ was great. Owen was not only a great DJ he was friendly, good with the kids, polite and punctual. What more could we have asked for. I will certainly pass on your details to the next year parents and would recommend Star DJ’s based on my experience.

well i can safely say you made my night! it may not have been the most traditional wedding in terms of music, however it was the music i wanted and the music i danced to when i first met stuart, we grew up with that music and it really took us back. i loved every minute of it, even people who wouldnt like dance music where up on the floor. you really really made the night, everyone has said it was the best wedding they have ever been at and that i was such a happy bride the whole night up on the dance floor.

Garvan was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and with 20 years experience under his belt, and certainly knows his trade. He is also extremely obliging, and professional, and pricing is also excellent. We had Malcolm as our DJ on the night, and he was absolutely brilliant, the crowd loved him, as did we! We also got a chance to meet him beforehand, which was also a nice touch. We gave him an idea of some of the music that we were keen on, and he delivered, with bells on. Malcolm just gets on with it, and before you know, he is set up, and getting the crowd going! Star DJ’s are up for nomination for Wedding DJ of the Year, and without hesitation you will get my vote, and I hope you win, if you do, it will certainly be well-deserved.

The StarDJ service was first class right from my initial email contact, through to meeting with Garv to plan the playlist. The straight forward, no nonsense approach was appreciated especially as we were planning an Irish wedding based in the UK.

But if a song wasn’t working Garvan changed it and got everyone up. Mark was our DJ on the night and he was absolutely fantastic. We had guests from all over Europe – Italy, Spain, Romania etc. I asked Mark on the lead up to the wedding if it would be possible to play a mix of Latin and Romanian music and also music to keep the older members on the dance floor. He said it was no problem at all..and it wasn’t! The dance floor was never empty and by the end of the night most people had their shoes off so they could keep dancing!! The feedback from the guests was amazing. They assumed we had given Mark a list of songs we wanted him to play throughout the night but we didn’t. The only song we asked him to play was our first dance song. He gauged the type of music that got people out of their seats and onto the dance floor. So a MASSIVE thank you to Mark & Star DJ’s for our very sore feet.. we would do it all over again ????

Darragh DJ’d at our wedding at cloghan castle and we cant speak highly enough of him. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end – if anything we needed a bigger dancfloor as it wall packed to the brim! Everyone commented on how great a night it was and the music was a huge part of that – the songs we requested for friends were all played so everyone was happy, and it was a huge relief to take a look at the dancefloor and see that everyone was having a ball. The music played throughout the meal was equally enjoyable and set a really nice ambiance, and Darragh was a great MC too – took great control over our boistrous crowd and made sure they gave us a rapturous applause for our entrance, the speeches and the first dance.
All in all it was a brilliant night thanks to Darragh and we’re hughly grateful!
Darragh DJ’d at our wedding at cloghan castle and we cant speak highly enough of him. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end – if anything we needed a bigger dancfloor as it wall packed to the brim! Everyone commented on how great a night it was and the music was a huge part of that – the songs we requested for friends were all played so everyone was happy, and it was a huge relief to take a look at the dancefloor and see that everyone was having a ball. The music played throughout the meal was equally enjoyable and set a really nice ambiance, and Darragh was a great MC too – took great control over our boistrous crowd and made sure they gave us a rapturous applause for our entrance, the speeches and the first dance.
All in all it was a brilliant night thanks to Darragh and we’re hughly grateful!

Music was excellent which you could tell by the amount of people who stayed on until the end of the night. This is a very belated but a huge thank you for organising Darragh O’Dea to be the DJ at our wedding in Ballymagarvey Village. Once the band finished up Darragh took over immediately and was super. The dance floor was packed for the entire night and every single request he was asked to play he did, which pretty much impressed every single guest!

On behalf of the Irish Master Athletics Assoc. I would like to express our gratitude to both Terry & yourself for your assistance leading up to plus on Saturday nights function in the Crowne Plaza. From the moment the music started, the crowd got going, indeed with some not leaving the dance floor throughout the whole night.

Sorry for the delayed response on this. We were extremely satisfied with our experience with Star DJs. The booking process was pain free, and all our questions were answered really quickly. Being based outside Ireland, it was extremely useful to have an email based booking, and as mentioned, every email was replied to very swiftly.
Our DJ Tim rang in the run up to the wedding to confirm details including the song choices we had sent, and to get a feel for the type of music we did and didn’t want. On the day itself, Tim was fantastic. He played our requested songs, listened to the guests and took requests, and even stayed on later than scheduled, when the band had overran and he couldn’t start on time. He had everyone out on the dance floor the whole time, which was exactly what we wanted.
As a side note, when he initially arrived, I was on my way to complain about the heat in the venue for the 3rd time. Instead Tim went to speak to the venue team, and within minutes the air conditioning had been turned up. I can’t tell you how grateful I was for that!

He gave us lots of really good advice about what music we should and should not have at the wedding and we took all of his advice on board and completely trusted him for all our music on the day. We told him to just do whatever he thought on the day and that we were happy with his judgements.He arranged the arrivals music at the Stephens Green Hibernian Club and he did the lovely background music for the dinner and then he played for the whole night. One piece of advice he gave us was this: He told us that on our wedding day wherever we (me and Declan) were the crowd would follow us. So he said if you want people to dance then we should dance. Well we took this advice on board 100% and the dance floor was full all night long. Everybody danced, the younger crowd and the older crowd. I have all the videos and pictures to prove this. It was so much fun. All of our friends told us after how much they enjoyed the wedding and that the DJ was BRILLIANT!!!

He was so responsive anytime we contacted him and even he called me to check in a few times. Our face-to-face meeting was also great. He asked the right questions to understand our style and our guests as well. He made great points and gave great recommendations. On the night, everyone (literally everyone) was on the dance floor. Even today (wedding was 3 weeks ago) when we ask people to send videos/pics, they say they were having so much fun on the dance floor that they didn’t even use their phones (how unusually great is that). I totally recommend Garvan from Star DJs!! What a fun, valuable entetainment! Garvan earned every penny that night! Thanks Garvan!

Our DJ on the night was Ronan, he was the ultimate professional and had everyone dancing on the tables and chairs by the end of the night. Just wanted to send you a quick note to say how delighted I was with the DJ on Saturday night. Terry did a great job of entertaining the crowd and was the main reason the party was such a complete success. From his friendliness with the kids, to his banter with the family and friends, he kept the party going and had everyone dancing and up enjoying themselves ( even my brothers who I don’t think have ever been on the dance floor before!). I got so many compliments on the night about him, and the music that I had to write and say thanks for a job well done. We got married this year and were delighted with the service and performance of our DJ, Malcolm. He was uber professional, and patient as he had to wait a for the band who had decided to play on for an extra hour or so. However, the thing that I would like to comment on the most was the fact that he had the dance floor filled for the entire time he played, making the evening truly memorable. All the comments we’ve had subsequently have been nothing but very positive.
Key to his excellence was taking the time to speak to me a few days prior in order to get a feel for the music we wanted and when. To be honest, our band were amazing and I was a little concerned that our DJ would not be able to lift our guests after the band had finished. I need not have worried, as Malcolm was superb. I would be very quick to recommend Malcolm again if anyone was looking for a DJ for their wedding.

On the night itself, he made a big difference by getting everyone onto the dance floor and keeping them there for the night, through good interaction with the crowd and great music. Can honestly say the night wouldn’t have been half the craic without the DJ that we had.

Garvan looked after our wedding in Barberstown Castle. Nothing was ever an issue and the communication was always prompt and professional.
He met my wife and I about 4 weeks before the wedding and really worked to understand not just our taste in music that we wanted to hear but also understand what our guests might want (we had friends and family from Ireland, America and Mexico).
He took all our views on board and made some great suggestions on how we could improve the day. We had no band so had Garvan from approx 5pm until 1am and he was really was our entertainment director for the day. He worked with the hotel staff before and during the day and we didn’t have anything to worry about.

We got married at the waterside in Donabate,we chose to go for a dj only as we had dancers and fireworks for later on in the evening. Colin was our dj and he was only brilliant, we met him at the wedding fair the year of our wedding and discussed our plans, we asked for him to dj our wedding as we were really impressed, he knew his stuff, also as a young couple we found he knew what we wanted before we asked. Before the wedding he rang once or twice and confirmed everything and was very reassuring.on the night he looked smart, was punctual, and just got on with things i never needed to remind him of a thing all night,a lot of friends commented on how good he was and asked for details for their own weddings. I would have no problem recommending star djs because as far as the wedding djs we have seen previous there is no comparison!

We just had a blast this afternoon playing Music Bingo with our superb host Garvan Rigby. Such a pleasure to work with an organisation that make it so easy to arrange an online event. It’s literally a case of turn up and have fun and the smiles on the faces of 20 people from almost 20 different countries getting together to have fun online is priceless. We were very happy with our DJ Mal for my husbands 50th birthday and surprise “This is your life”. We asked for mainly 80s music and he felt he was entertaining the 40 and 50 year olds which was exactly what we wanted. He asked us during the night if we wanted to add in some more uptodate music and I could see my husband really enjoyed the list. Also Mal was able to put music to the “this is your life” very well even with some changes being made to the slides. I was in good contact with him before the night and I felt he really wanted to help create a good night and I didn’t feel I was a nuisance to him.
At the end of the night we were really happy with him and would have no hesitation having him as our DJ for any future event. So thank you very much.

From those I talked to on the phone beforehand to Graham on the night absolutely fantastic. The whole thing was done so discreetly, pleasantly nothing was too much trouble, especially as I suppose you are usually dealing with totally wired clients!!! An experience I would recommend to all, many many thanks for a great night. So many people said “and the music was brilliant”.

I had hopes of using the karaoke but we never got around to it, so would just go without that option the next time. You had forewarned me that it probably wouldn’t work for a daytime party in the house, and you were right. A good time was had by all anyway.

First of all, everything to do with the hiring and arranging of our booking was smooth and reassuring. We heard about Star DJs from a friend. It’s often said that word of mouth recommendations are the best recommendations, and this is definitely the case. We’ll certainly be recommending star DJs to all of our friends and family who are yet to get married. Mark went out of his way to keep both of us happy. The feedback we received from our guests was fantastic. Most people complained about having sore legs, but only because they could not stop dancing. One of our guests said that he danced more at our wedding than he did at his own! The music was simply fantastic. We were delighted with the service Star DJs provided and have absolutely no qualms about recommending them to anyone.

He filled us full of confidence that he would look after everything regarding entertainment on the night and he really lived up to his promise. From the moment he started, he was in full controll of everything. He went above and beyond the ordinary d.j. and became an entertainer. The dance floor wasn’t empty once, and the moment he saw the crowd flagging a bit, he’d change tack immediately and get a whole new vibe going.
